Equal Ventures is a thesis-driven, seed stage venture firm focused on bridging the digital divide.
We partner with founders and businesses deploying technology within legacy industries, specifically climate, insurance, retail, and supply chain. We are looking to add two Associates to our investment team who will work directly with our Product Owners. This role will be in-person based in New York and open to Pre or Post-MBA candidates.
As an Associate at Equal Ventures, you will be focused on:
- Researching industry themes and investment theses
- Sourcing opportunities and analyzing investments
- Supporting our portfolio companies
- Leading firm initiatives and projects
About you:
- 2–4+ years of experience working in strategy consulting, equity research, private equity, or investment banking with the ability to analyze industry trends and company performance beyond a financial statement.
- Experience analyzing value chains and/or industry cost structures is highly preferred. Prior investing experience is preferred but not required.
- Intellectually curious — Insatiable thirst for knowledge on how / why things work.
- Passionate — Obsessed with startups and the overall venture ecosystem.
- Professional — Takes immense pride in the detail, thoroughness, accuracy, and overall quality of their work.
- Self-directed — Works with team members to complete tasks without someone looking over their shoulder.
- Friendly — We like nice people, no egos.
