Neo is looking for an Investment Associate to drive our investment and portfolio operations as well as help support our portfolio companies. As an investment associate, you’ll work closely with our small and collaborative investment team (totaling 5 with this addition) and be a hands-on contributor to all aspects of the investment process. At Neo, you'll work closely with our GP and be a pivotal force for driving Neo's success.
💪 What You’ll Do:
- Drive Investment Process and Provide Diligence Support
- Run weekly investment meetings and track ongoing deal flow across early stage fund, growth fund, and accelerator
- Support with due diligence including reviewing incoming pitches, crafting diligence questions, and conducting reference/customer calls
- Coordinate the investment closing processes and company onboarding
- Oversee Neo Accelerator application review process from reviewing teams when they first apply all the way through onboarding the accepted companies
- Manage Fund Administration
- Build and maintain portfolio analysis and operating fund models, including company valuations, key metrics, performance attribution, asset allocation, and fund liquidity management
- Support with LP relations and fundraising including assisting in the creation of portfolio reports, LP letters, and ad hoc materials
- Manage data and documentation from existing and prospective investments, including company financial and legal documents
- Support Portfolio Companies
- Oversee company onboarding and success on the recruiting platform
- Develop and execute projects to strengthen our firm’s platform, operations, and processes
- Build relationships with founders and provide ad-hoc support

- Off-the-charts attention to detail, project management, and desire to improve existing processes
- Ability to excel in an entrepreneurial environment with ambiguity
- Stellar written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal skills
- Willingness to write puns and jokes (or at least tolerate them!)
Preferred skills and qualifications:
- Preferred 2-3+ years of work experience evaluating market structure, competitive dynamics, and company financial performance at a VC firm; or experience in a product or engineering role at a tech startup
- Passion for technology with current knowledge of the VC industry and/or startup space
- A knack for digesting and presenting data
