JOB DESCRIPTION
Caruso Ventures is hiring for a Sr. Associate for the Direct Investments team. The Sr. Associate will work alongside the VP Direct Investments and be responsible for a variety of investment tasks including but not limited to: cultivating a robust investor network, building a proprietary deal flow pipeline, engaging with entrepreneurs, attending conference and networking events, conducting financial analysis and due diligence for investment opportunities, and assisting with investment operations and the existing portfolio.
This role is meant for candidates interested in pursuing a career in venture capital. Prior investment experience is not required, but successful candidates will have an understanding of the fundamentals of early-stage finance. We’re a lean, dynamic team so a true entrepreneurial mindset is required, including the ability to proactively identify and solve an array of challenges.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates should have 3-6 years of total prior work experience, preferably in venture capital, private equity, or at a venture-backed company or similar entrepreneurial environment, in addition to:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- MBA or similar Masters-level degree, or equivalent experience
Qualified candidates will also meet the following criteria:
- Self-starter with superior work ethic and uncompromising personal integrity
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with limited supervision (including proactively seeking guidance when needed)
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively, as the occasion requires
- Excellent interpersonal, social media and networking skills, capable of developing and maintaining effective business relationships
- An understanding of the fundamentals of venture capital/early-stage finance
- A curious and open mind, willing to investigate and learn about a broad range of different industries and companies

Caruso Ventures is a family office with a portfolio focus on direct venture capital investment. We invest primarily at the early revenue scale up stage, able to both lead and syndicate investment alongside top firms. Most of our portfolio companies are headquartered in Colorado or are Endeavor Global companies.
