OBJECTIVE
Greycroft is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual to join our team as an Operating Associate. As a key member of our operating team, you will collaborate closely with the broader Greycroft team and portfolio companies to address complex business challenges, provide actionable recommendations, and facilitate the implementation of strategic initiatives. This is a pivotal role in supporting the growth of our portfolio companies through hands-on involvement with founders and leadership teams in ultimately helping drive returns to the business and our Greycroft portfolio.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Broader Greycroft Team: Engage in ad hoc projects focused on evaluating the portfolio, scaling businesses, and providing transaction support during exits.
- Portfolio Engagement: Collaborate with portfolio companies to understand their business objectives and challenges. Conduct interviews, workshops, and analyses to gather relevant information.
- Analysis and Research: Utilize analytical tools and methodologies to evaluate financials, valuations, data, and trends. Conduct market research and industry benchmarking to inform strategic recommendations.
- Strategy Development: Assist in the creation of strategic plans and roadmaps for portfolio companies.
- Implementation Support: Collaborate with portfolio companies during the execution phase of strategic initiatives. Provide support in change management and monitor progress towards goals.
- Portfolio Company Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with portfolio company founders and leadership teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Depending on relevancy, a minimum of 3-5 years of experience, including but not limited to, investment banking, management consulting, technology, or startups (preferably in an analytical capacity)
- 1-2 years of experience in an operating role
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Excel
- Ability to thrive in an unstructured, entrepreneurial environment with incomplete data
- Authentic passion for technology industries and deep respect for entrepreneurship.
- Strong relationship management, collaboration, and influencing skills
- Executive mindset with the ability to establish immediate credibility with executive teams within the Greycroft portfolio and Partners on the investment team.
Base Salary Range: $130-170K (not including bonus)
