About the role

We believe that supporting our portfolio companies and the growth of the broader startup community is key to how AirTree attracts the best founders and gives them an unfair advantage.

We’re looking for a leader to continue to expand the Platform engine at AirTree to deliver world-class networks, programs, and content that help accelerate founders both inside and outside the portfolio.

This is a full-time permanent role.

What you’ll do:

• Lead and develop AirTree’s marketing, community, and portfolio success workstreams to create a world-class Platform.
• Empower an all-star team of portfolio success, community, talent, and marketing specialists (you’ll have ~5 direct reports) to unlock their potential and performance.
• Cultivate scalable programs, content, and networks to open up the black box of VC and help founders shortcut company-building firsts to take their businesses global.
• Help develop AirTree’s marketing, PR, and brand strategy to attract the most ambitious Australian and NZ tech founders to AirTree’s portfolio.
• Drive growth of the AirTree platform by building relationships within the community and sharing best practices to ultimately drive the sustainability and success of the founders we work with and the broader startup ecosystem.

Requirements

About you:

• You have high founder empathy, either from working in a high-growth startup or founding a startup yourself.
• You have amazing people management skills with demonstrated impact leading high-performing teams.
• You have experience setting and delivering strategy and goals, ideally in marketing and/or customer success including managing messaging, distribution, multiple ongoing projects, and measurement of effectiveness.
• You’re a strong communicator and networker, able to express yourself clearly and concisely to external audiences and internal stakeholders.
• You are excited to play a part in building a vibrant early-stage technology sector in Australia.
