Total Compensation
- A competitive base salary starting at $65K/year, performance-based bonus, and 401k match up to 3%

Job Description
Assure, a private equity transaction platform, analytics, and data company, is seeking to hire a Legal Associate to assist with its growing fund creation and administration service. The Legal Associate will join Assure’s legal team that has a broad range of responsibilities relevant to legal support for fund investment transactions. The work encompasses transactional, contractual, and regulatory matters and requires solid drafting skills. The ideal candidate will be very detail oriented, organized, able to multi-task, work well under pressure and exhibit a strong interest in the law and business administration work. The ability to communicate professionally with regulators, team members, business partners, and clients is crucial. This position requires regular in-person attendance in the office and punctuality to ensure optimal productivity and customer service.
Duties include
- Investment vehicle set up (legal entity)
- Screening and editing investment documents (side letters, fund governing documents, purchase agreements and more)
- Managing the closing process of investment transactions
- Assisting with federal and state securities and regulatory compliance filings, and annual financial reports
- Managing investor communications, and tracking fund activity
- Other tasks and projects as assigned
Our ideal candidate will possess the following traits and knowledge
- Juris Doctorate degree or obtaining a JD within the first six months of employment, prior experience is not necessary
- Member of the Utah Bar preferred, but not necessary
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and CRM database
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- An ability to drive multiple processes simultaneously, each at different stages, to plan, organize and complete work assignments in a timely and accurate manner
- Outstanding written and verbal communication with the ability to present at the highest levels of an organization
- Detail orientation, organized, and efficient in their ability to multi-task
- Ability to interact with all levels of associates and work in a team-oriented environment, handling confidential information in a discreet, professional manner
